Job description

Medical Records Employee Health Nurse

The Medical Records Employee Health Nurse will ensure that medical records are maintained in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as our established policies and procedures and to ensure complete program is being maintained. Develop, implement and coordinate employee health services and maintain medical files for all personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing procedures to ensure records are properly completed, coded, signed and indexed
  • Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts as necessary
  • Ensure records are properly assembled, coded, signed, indexed, etc. before filing
  • Retrieve medical records when requested by authorized personnel (physicians, nurses, gov't agencies/personnel, etc.)
  • Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, coordinate, and implement our employee health services program, including recordkeeping protocols for TB Mantoux testing, Hepatitis B vaccinations, and employee physicals.
  • Maintain employee and volunteer medical records
  • Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of performing the assigned duties of the Employee Health Nurse.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee medical information to assure employee privacy rights are protected

Education Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing

Experience:

Must have experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
