Job description

WeldFit is looking for a self-motivated candidate with experience to fill our CNC Machinist position. This position is responsible for operating the CNC Horizontal Boring Mill in the shop by performing the duties and responsibilities below.

  • Machine parts to specifications using machines such as Horizontal Boring Mills
  • Able to understand and edit G code and M code programs
  • Understand speeds and feeds for machining and proper set ups
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Set up, adjust and operate all machines
  • Check work pieces to ensure alignment and materials onto machines
  • Clean lubricate machines as needed
  • Monitor the feed and speed of the CNC machines
  • Work and think safety at all times
  • Working M-F 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. with overtime and weekends as necessary.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior machine shop experience required
  • Must have at least 3 years of CNC machining
