As an Instructional Assistant, you'll be part of a passionate team dedicated to making a positive impact on young minds as you work in an exciting environment that promises growth, fulfillment, and an endless supply of memorable moments! The Instructional Assistant at Academy Charter School is responsible for supporting classroom teachers with small group instruction, behavior management, and clerical tasks, and serves our students by helping with carpool and supervising the lunchroom and playground during recess.Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to grade-level teachers and students

  • Provide large and small group support for academic progress

  • Assist teachers with clerical tasks and other functions

  • Assist in the maintenance of student records

  • Perform supervision duties in the cafeteria

  • Perform supervision duties on the playground/field

  • Perform supervision duties for the morning and afternoon carpool

  • Collaborate with the SpEd team to provide support to students with IEPs

  • Provide first aid

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Required Qualifications

  • Able to work full-time Monday-Friday 7:15 am -3:45 pm

  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to work with students, Kindergarten-8th grade

  • General clerical and computer skills

  • Positive attitude

  • Polished professional appearance

  • Strong belief that all students can succeed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a charter school setting

  • Experience in an educational setting

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

Fulltime: 1.0 FTE
