Job description

This role focuses on conducting and leveraging user research to define, develop, and refine infotainment solutions, features, and interface designs that meet customer needs, ensure usability, and maintain competitive product standards.

The UX Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user insights into functional and intuitive design solutions that enhance the in-vehicle user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and apply user-centered research to inform infotainment system design and development
  • Translate user needs, behavioral insights, and research findings into UX/UI requirements and design solutions
  • Develop infotainment concepts, features, and interface designs aligned with customer expectations and market competitiveness
  • Perform product benchmarking to evaluate competitor systems and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create and present UX concepts, design documentation, and research findings to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to ensure feasibility and implementation of UX solutions
  • Support development of GUI prototypes using applicable tools and methods
  • Ensure all design solutions meet quality, usability, and performance expectations

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a UX, Human Factors, or related role (with Bachelor’s degree)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Industrial Design, UX Design, Engineering, Psychology, Product Development, Anthropology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience conducting user-centered research in academic, professional, or industry settings
  • Strong communication skills with ability to create clear, structured presentation materials

Preferred Skillset:

  • Experience with product benchmarking and competitive analysis
  • Experience with GUI prototyping tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Axure, Kanzi, or similar
  • Familiarity with infotainment systems or automotive UX design is highly desirable
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into actionable design insights
