These models may pose in various positions, often holding still for extended periods, and can be clothed or unclothed depending on the class or project. As volunteers, they typically offer their time without monetary compensation, contributing to the educational and creative process. This role is essential for helping artists improve their understanding of anatomy, proportion, and gesture. Volunteer models are valued for their reliability, professionalism, and comfort with posing in front of groups.

These qualities ensure productive sessions, support the creative process for artists, and help maintain a respectful studio environment.
