Job description

Duties This position is in the Small Air Terminal Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, 153d Air Base Group, 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. (1) Planning: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods, and policies. Determines skills, materials, and equipment required to do the work. (2) Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures. Instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and help with difficult or new problem areas. (3) Administration: Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Schedules and approves subordinates' leave. Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals. (4) Performs non-supervisory work of the function as needed. (5) Implements safety regulatory requirements. Ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ** Requirements Conditions of employment KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members. Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. Must possess a minimum of AFSC 2T271, Air Transportation, to meet minimum qualification requirements. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial and one-year supervisory probation period. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. AND In addition to the above knowledge, you must possess experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.
