Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 1:1 Home and School Care

Position Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN
Location: Multiple Locations Available
Schedule: Flexible Day, Evening, and Weekend Shifts

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide one-on-one care for pediatric and/or adult patients in home and school settings. This rewarding opportunity allows you to build meaningful relationships while supporting patients with their daily healthcare and personal care needs in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and according to the patient's individualized plan of care
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
  • Monitor and document patient status, including changes in condition, behavior, or physical abilities
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
  • Support patients in school settings by promoting safety, comfort, and participation in educational activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the patient
  • Communicate effectively with family members, school personnel, and healthcare team members
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Current CNA certification in the state of practice
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Previous experience in home healthcare, pediatric care, long-term care, or school-based settings preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Ability to pass background screening and any state-required clearances
