Job description

Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 205
Job Summary
The Volleyball Manager provides operational support to the coaching staff by assisting with daily practice operations, match-day preparation, equipment management, facility organization, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the volleyball program.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with practice and match-day setup and breakdown.
  • Prepare, distribute, collect, and maintain team equipment and uniforms.
  • Assist with court setup, ball management, hydration, and practice equipment during training sessions and competitions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the locker room, equipment room, and volleyball facility.
  • Assist with inventory, administrative tasks, and team travel preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Basic knowledge of volleyball rules, terminology, and equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move athletic equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
