Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Campus Recreation and Intramurals as an Intramural Soccer Official on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
  • Officiates intramural contests and assists in game management of designated intramural sports including: Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball
  • Assists with promotion and evaluation of intramural activities
  • Completes setup and take down of facilities and equipment
  • Signs-In intramural participants and verifies eligibility
  • Checks out equipment
  • Monitors the facility/equipment for safety and risk management
  • Ensures participation takes place in a safe manner
  • Enforces intramural policies and procedures
  • Diffuses any potential problems involving spectators, coaches, or players
  • Serves as a resource and service person for program participants
  • Attendance is mandatory at the training clinics on Monday, August 24th at 6:00 PM in the Recreation Activity Center Seminar Room
    • Additional on-field training will occur on Wednesday, August 26th at 8 PM at the Multiplex Fields next to the RAC

  • Up to 25 hours per week

Educational Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary
$10.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
