Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to lead our safety and environmental programs. The ideal candidate will drive our journey toward zero accidents by establishing a top quartile safety culture. This position will primarily support two industrial sites (one in Appleton and the other in Neenah, WI), while also providing support to our field service teams located throughout North America.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) including reductions in serious impact injuries; organizational testing completions and scores and improving on operational risk scores.
  • Establish a comprehensive behavioral-based HSE Program aligned with organizational goals
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with company and government policies and procedures
  • Elevate HSE culture by influencing employee ownership through collaboration, training and coaching key stakeholders in the organization
  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively identify hazards. In the event of an incident or accident, design interventions that address the root causes of unsafe behaviors.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
  • Professional certifications in HSE is a plus but not required.
  • Effective player/coach who can elevate the entire organization as we develop a top quartile safety culture.
  • Strong ability to build relationships up and down the organization and the ability to influence people.
  • Proactivity is a must.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive HSE experience, including a proven track record as a change agent.
  • Proven track record of building an appropriate safety culture and implementing safety innovations
  • Familiar with compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential risks.
