Position Description:
This full-time position offers steady hours throughout the week. This is an opportunity to work on premium vehicles to ensure safety while they are in motion. Duties include but are not limited to preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles including brakes, tires, oil changes, inspections, etc.; troubleshooting electronic components; performing diagnostic testing; and repairing the company fleet. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel, gas, and propane engines. This role requires hands-on experience with various mechanical components and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel/gas and propane engines, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Conduct heavy lifting tasks as necessary to access and repair components.
  • Work with Caterpillar engines and other diesel, gas and Propane engine brands to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fabricate parts as needed to support repairs and maintenance.
  • Inspect and repair shocks, struts, and suspension systems for safety and functionality.
  • Diagnose electrical issues within the diesel engine systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Align wheels and other components to manufacturer specifications for proper operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools are accounted for.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel mechanics.
  • Strong understanding of tractor-trailer systems and their components.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of how to transmit electrical signals within diesel engine systems.
  • Experience in suspending, aligning, and adjusting various mechanical parts for optimal performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license for 3+ years with good record
  • Three (3) years of Technician experience preferred
  • ASE Certification Preferred
  • Must own basic hand tools
  • Technicians must successfully pass a company sponsored pre-employment drug test and background check.
