Therapist

Aliya Health Group is a nationwide network of addiction treatment centers known for diverse, evidence-based programs for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our nationally accredited treatment centers include Vogue Recovery Center, Footprints to Recovery, Royal Life Centers, and South Coast Behavioral Health.

Therapist | Vogue Recovery Phoenix, AZ |

Full-time | Monday - Thursday 1:00pm - 11:30pm or Friday - Sunday 9:00am - 11:30pm

Salary: DOE

  • Master Level - 50k-60k annually
  • Associate Licenses - 65k-75k annually
  • Professional Licenses - 75k-90k annually

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, performs professional work by providing clinical therapeutic services to an adult population composed of substance-abusing, SMI, dual-diagnosed and/or referred persons. Responsible for screening, assessments, treatment planning, case load management, group/individual counseling, crisis management and coordination of care; performs related duties as required.

Job Duties

  • The Therapist provides high-quality, compassionate, and ethical treatment to clients as scheduled in psycho-educational groups.
  • Meets one on one with patients to provide guidance on treatment goals and assist with aftercare planning.
  • The Therapist Participates in clinical staff meetings, training, and other activities as required.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • The Therapist completes the treatment plan for each client in their caseload and regularly updates based on client progress.
  • Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, concurrent reviews, discharge plans, etc.
  • TheTherapist is responsible for scheduling individual appointments as directed by the supervisor.
  • Minimal supervision regarding use of time.
  • The Therapist completes accurate clinical documentation on the same day as the date of service.
  • Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities, if applicable.
  • The Therapist completes all recommended continuing education requirements.
  • Stay current with updated research and best practices.
  • The Therapist remains aware of community referral sources and refers when necessary.
  • Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
  • The Therapist provides in-service training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health.
  • Preferred: Licensed at the associate’s level in Arizona: LAC, LMSW, LASAC, LAP with the intention of pursuing of independent licensure.
  • At minimum 1 year of experience working with trauma-related populations: Co-Occurring SMI, Substance Use, Veterans, First Responders, Domestic Violence, and/or military trained.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and SMI diagnoses, psychopharmacology, substance abuse, addictions, recovery, relapse prevention, and 12-step treatment philosophy.
  • Knowledge of the principles of cultural competency and adherence to its philosophy.
  • Knowledge of Vogue Recovery Center’s Code of Ethics statement and adherence to its concepts.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health services delivery systems policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of state and local behavioral health resources.
  • Knowledge of state behavioral health individual and agency licensure regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and address events/crises which may develop unexpectedly.
  • Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones, and professionals.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong assessment skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain an Arizona DPS Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Some assignments require a current Arizona Driver License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Minimum 1 year recovery from drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute.
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain the following:
  • CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Evidence of freedom from infectious pulmonary tuberculosis
