How will you fit in the big picture?
Reporting to the EHS Manager and working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Occupational Health Nurse (LPN/VN) plays a critical role in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our workforce. This position serves as a trusted resource for employees and leaders by delivering occupational health services, supporting injury and illness management, promoting wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards in a manufacturing environment.
What will you do?
  • Provide professional nursing care, including emergency response, treatment, follow up, referrals, and non-prescription medication administration under established nursing guidelines.
  • Support occupational injury and illness case management, including documentation, claim tracking, return-to-work coordination, and collaboration with third-party administrators and healthcare providers.
  • Administer and support medical surveillance programs, including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, periodic physicals, post-offer assessments, and other regulatory health programs.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policies and Substance Free Workplace guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide health, wellness, and safety guidance and resources to employees.
  • Participate in wellness programs, employee education initiatives, and interdisciplinary efforts that promote a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost control, and exceptional employee service.

Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience:
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in an industrial, manufacturing, occupational health, urgent care, emergency care, or related clinical environment.
  • Experience managing occupational injuries, medical documentation, and return-to-work processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Education:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (VN) license in the state of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
  • Audiometry, spirometry, and drug-screen collection certifications preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
