Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Solutions Architect, VMware Cloud Foundation to deliver VMware Cloud Foundation implementations based on architect-provided design documentation. This role focuses on deploying, configuring, validating, and operationalizing VCF environments while maintaining close collaboration with architects, project managers, and customer technical teams.
The VCF Private Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that design intent is accurately realized in production, while providing practical feedback to improve designs, tooling, and delivery outcomes. Success in this role requires strong hands-on expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and execute complex architectures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement VMware Cloud Foundation environments in alignment with approved HLD and LLD documentation
  • Execute Day 0 and Day 1 activities, including host commissioning, domain deployment, and baseline configuration
  • Deploy and configure vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and VCF lifecycle components
  • Validate deployed platforms against architectural, operational, and performance expectations
  • Troubleshoot deployment and integration challenges in collaboration with architects and senior engineers
  • Document implementation outcomes, environmental findings, and operational considerations
  • Participate in customer readiness, validation, and knowledge-transfer activities
  • Provide feedback to architects on design assumptions, execution considerations, and lifecycle

Role Ownership:
  • Accurate and repeatable execution of VCF Consultant
  • Technical validation of deployed environments
  • Continuous improvement feedback into design and delivery

Qualifications
  • Current VMware VCP 9.x certification required; candidates must be actively certified and up to date within the latest certification track/release cycle
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating VMware-based infrastructure
  • Pre-Sales/Solution Architecture experience required
  • Working knowledge of vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation
  • Solid understanding of networking (L2/L3, routing, firewalling) and storage concepts
  • Ability to interpret and execute against detailed design documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills during deployment
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) in VKS, Automation, Storage, Operations
