Title: VMware Engineer
Location: Vienna, Virginia & Washington, DC & Pensacola, Florida
Job Type: Full Time position

Requirements
Must Haves:
1) Enterprise-level experience
2) Experience managing at least 200 hosts
3) Windows and Linux servers
R Responsibilities:
• Anticipate and adjust for potential impact
• Apply engineering principles to the design and enhancement of systems
• Document new system components, or modifications to existing components
• Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions
• Full life-cycle project management
• Lead, guide, and mentor less-experienced staff
• Perform engineering tasks/assignments in support of business needs
• Perform research, procurement, deployment, and configuration of systems
• Present clear, organized, & concise information to audiences to enable business decisions
• Provide input and make budgetary recommendations regarding staffing and equipment
• Provide technical leadership in architecture discipline & development of IT solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned
S Specific Duties:
• Participate in on call rotation (as required) for emergency technical support and planned maintenance activities
• Install, configure, and manage VMware virtualization environments (vSphere, Orchestrator, Operations, Log Insight, SRM)
• Install, configure, and manage Cisco UCS environments (UCS Central, UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, B-Series servers)
• Install, configure, and manage Cisco HyperFlex environments (UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, C-Series servers)
• Provide support for Cisco and VMware environments; troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide root cause analysis
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of infrastructure and systems availability
Specific Qualifications:
• Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques
• VMware VCP or VCAP at an enterprise level
• Windows Server
• Linux Server
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python)
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) administration
• Strong knowledge of networking and storage concepts (VLANs, Trunking, FC, VSANs, Zoning)
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
• Strong detailed-oriented attributes
