Salary Range:โ€ฏ$100,000โ€“$150,000 Annually 
Experience Required:โ€ฏ6+ years

Job Summary
We are looking for a VMware Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization, software-defined networking, and software-defined storage platforms across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The role covers vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu, with a focus on automation, capacity management, and the practical realities of operating a large VMware estate alongside modern cloud-native workloads. The ideal candidate has operated VMware platforms at enterprise scale, navigates the evolving VMware product landscape pragmatically, and brings strong automation and operations discipline. 
Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Five or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience. 
  • Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi. 
  • Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management. 
  • Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking. 
  • Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and experience with automation tooling. 
  • Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms. 
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VCAP credentials. 
  • Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or GCVE. 
  • Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). 
  • Experience with Aria Operations / vRealize Operations. 
  • Exposure to migration programs out of VMware to alternative virtualization platforms.
