Job Summary:
ShiftCode Analytics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware professional to join their team. The role involves managing the operational responsibilities of the VMware environment and supporting the deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within the core VMware platform, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Oversee VM lifecycle management, resource optimization, and day-to-day administration of our virtualized infrastructure.
• Fine-tune system performance to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
• Manage patching and upgrades using VMware Lifecycle Manager (vLCM).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. This includes working with PowerCLI, Python, REST APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Ensure seamless integration with NSX-T and the Aria Suite.
• Assist in the deployment of VCF 9 by handling ongoing operational tasks, allowing the core team to focus on the new implementation.

• Strong knowledge of vSphere 8, with a focus on advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Expertise in vCenter Server and ESXi host administration.
• Experience with storage policies, configuration, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing DRS, HA, and vMotion.
• Familiarity with event-driven automation using the VMware Event Broker Appliance (VEBA).
• Hands-on experience with VMware automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerCLI, Python, and REST APIs.
• Experience in VMware Aria Automation (formerly vRealize Automation) and blueprint development.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and integrating CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with custom workflows in Aria Orchestrator (vRO).
• Knowledge of credential rotation and secrets management via API.
