Job description

Role Overview

Duration: Initial 30day engagement (PartTime)
Start: ASAP

Location: HYBRID in Michigan
Extension: Possible based on project needs and performance

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to provide expert support for the installation of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 and the application of a standard architecture defined by the local Technical Lead Architect. This role will play a key part in supporting a resource leading a VCF 9 installation and VMware vSphere migration program for a critical enterprise environment.

The consultant will work onsite with technical stakeholders to ensure the solution is deployed in alignment with architectural standards and VMware best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the installation and configuration of VMware Cloud Foundation 9
  • Apply and validate the standard architecture defined by the local Technical Lead Architect
  • Assist with and support a VMware vSphere migration program
  • Provide handson technical guidance and troubleshooting during deployment
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead Architect and onsite teams
  • Ensure implementations align with VMware best practices and enterprise standards
  • Document configurations, decisions, and deployment outcomes as required

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong, handson experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), ideally VCF 9
  • Deep technical expertise in VMware vSphere
  • Proven experience supporting or leading VMware platform installations and migrations
  • Ability to operate effectively in an onsite, enterprise customer environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with architects and engineers
