Housekeeper

The Pay Range is $15.00 - $17.79 per hour.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Working every 3rd Saturday



This position is primarily responsible for the general cleaning, floor care, refurbishment and renovation of private residences as well as public areas when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a pleasant personality and demeanor, as well as demonstrate a desire to work in an environment with residents. Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments; ability to perform the duties listed in the job description with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated, able to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes. Must have a pleasant personality, enjoy working with people, have good manners, and be able to deal tactfully with others: excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic, fast learner.
  • Ability to work quickly and carefully in a safe manner, and motivate others to do the same.
  • Must be able to operate all power equipment throughout the VMRC campus safely.
  • Works in reaching or strained positions for about half of the day.
  • Must report to work in uniform.
  • This position also requires an acceptable DMV driving record to obtain authorization on the VMRC-approved drivers list if driving a VMRC vehicle is needed.
