What is a VMI job?

A VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) job involves managing inventory levels for a client by monitoring stock and replenishing supplies as needed. VMI, or Vendor Managed Inventory, roles involve overseeing and managing a customer's inventory levels on behalf of a supplier or vendor. Professionals in these positions monitor stock, forecast demand, place replenishment orders, and ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. VMI roles require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with both suppliers and clients. They are often found in industries like retail, manufacturing, and distribution, where seamless inventory management is crucial for supply chain efficiency.
