Job Description

The Final Assembly is primarily responsible for sub-assembling smaller parts. This includes reviewing the work order to ensure material availability.


1st Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

2nd Shift Hours: 5:30pm - 2:00am

Essential Job Responsibilities not limited to:

  1. Review picking sheet
  • Confirms if pick from stock or make from a job
  • Locate job and compare with picking sheet
  • Review drawings for part assembly (if available)
  • Gather materials to assemble parts
  • Assemble parts
  • Review picking sheet for special instructions
  • Inspect parts for final assembly
  • Sign off on production and picking sheet

Competencies

  • Ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity work
  • Ability to organize and prioritize jobs
  • Ability to communicate – clearly and comprehensively

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift, push, and pull 25 pounds unassisted

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Shop experience in assembly and reading shop prints
  • Familiar with power tools and hand tools, loc-tite glue, and paper cutter

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools

Work Environment

  • Typical machine shop environment.
  • Willing and able to work additional hours as needed
