As our Visual Design Coordinator, you'll transform ideas into compelling visual stories, create engaging brand experiences, and help bring the Savant brand to life across digital, print, and internal communications. The Visual Design Coordinator can expect to focus on the following areas:
  • Material creation and management: Develop engaging, on brand visual designs for a variety of mediums including:
    • Print materials
    • Digital assets
    • Presentation decks and internal communications
    • Event materials and promotional items
  • Visual storytelling: Translate complex financial or technical concepts into clear, compelling, and visually engaging content.
  • Project management: Oversight of multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and on time delivery.
  • Asset management: Organize and maintain design files and assets within the company's digital asset management system.
  • Scalable design system: Create templates and toolkits for internal use and maintain the system across the firm.
  • Marketing campaign support: Collaborating with marketing teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns aligned with the brand strategy.
  • Partner collaboration: Working with design teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to create and maintain brand consistency across all channels.
  • Brand steward: Maintain brand consistency across all materials, review materials across departments for alignment and help refine visual brand standards as needed.
  • Brand awareness initiatives: Collaborating with the Brand Manager to develop new ways to help increase brand visibility through various campaigns.
  • Market research and audits: Conducting market research to understand customer perceptions and identify opportunities to strengthen the brand and maintain a unified brand across all channels.

A couple things to note about our Visual Design Coordinator position:
  • This position follows a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely, and may be based out of our Rockford, IL; Chicago, IL; or Middleton, WI offices.
  • The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional travel to our Rockford office may be required for team meetings, onboarding, and other business needs.

The Visual Design Coordinator position typically requires the following qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Brand Management, or a related field.

Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience spanning marketing, brand management, and graphic design, with demonstrated hands-on design execution experience; in-house or agency experience preferred.
  • Experience working within an established brand system and contributing to its stewardship and evolution.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns aligned with brand strategy.
  • Proven project management experience leading multiple concurrent initiatives from concept through completion, delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Experience translating brand strategy into compelling campaigns and creative direction.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop); experience with Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Strong creative thinking, visual design, typography, and layout skills.
  • Understanding of print production processes and file preparation.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain brand consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple partners.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a regulated or professional services environment (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or legal).
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools.

We take a market-based approach to compensation. The expected base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 with final pay determined by experience, skills, and location. This role may also be eligible for additional incentive compensation based on responsibilities and performance.
