Visual Sound, Inc., as the leading provider of audio visual solutions in the mid-Atlantic region, is comprised of a team of specialists in presentation AV, sound reinforcement, broadcast video, video conferencing and network systems. The in-house design, engineering, sales, purchasing, project management, and installation teams provide the services required to consistently complete projects on time, with excellent performance and with on-site service contracts to ensure that the systems are maintained and utilized to their full potential.
Visual Sound, Inc. is also experienced with event staging and video production, an outgrowth of the audio visual rental business. The creative services division of Visual Sound, Inc. focuses on specialized event staging, lighting, sound, and all aspects of special event, presentations and audio visual services. Visual Sound was the in-house AV provider for the Philadelphia Convention Center for 15 years.
Job Description
Re- installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems, including but not limited to, Audio-Video Presentation, Pro Sound, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, CCTV, and Video-Conferencing. Knowledge and experience in the IT network communications a plus. The A/V Systems Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. All installations and service must meet the highest quality standards set forth by Visual Sound Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment.
Qualifications
โ€ข Valid and current driver's license.
โ€ข The Field Service Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree. A working knowledge of audio, video, control and communications systems. Audio, video conferencing, or control equipment manufacturer certifications a plus.

โ€ข Responsible for the final hookup of electronics equipment for new jobs
โ€ข Tests and documents readings for customer's systems

โ€ข Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components
โ€ข Responsible for handling on-call duties on a regular scheduled basis
โ€ข Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment
โ€ข Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
โ€ข Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum , Multi-meter, and Impedance Meter
โ€ข Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment
Responsible for service/installation tickets and inventory items.
