Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Freight Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently while supporting daily shipping and receiving operations. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to assist with shipping documentation as needed.
Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload freight from trucks using a forklift.
  • Move, stage, and organize materials throughout the facility.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with shipping paperwork and documentation in the absence of the Shipping Manager.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a forklift is required.
  • Valid forklift certification is preferred (or ability to become certified).
  • Experience in warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and paperwork skills for shipping documentation.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems.
