Job Description:Position Summary

Pentair Pool is seeking a highly creative and strategically minded Senior Designer to lead the visual development of integrated marketing campaigns and brand experiences across the customer journey. Operating with the mindset of an agency Art Director, this role is responsible for translating business objectives and customer insights into compelling creative concepts that strengthen brand perception, drive engagement, and support measurable growth.

This individual will partner closely with marketing strategists, content creators, product marketers, and the in-house digital team to develop campaign ideas that connect with pool professionals and homeowners alike. The ideal candidate combines exceptional design skills with strong conceptual thinking, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to guide creative work from brief to execution.

This role serves as a design lead within the Brand & Creative team, elevating the quality of work across channels while mentoring junior team members and influencing stakeholders through visual thinking and strategic rationale.

What You'll DoLead Creative Concept Development
  • Develop breakthrough creative concepts and design layouts that align with business objectives and customer insights.
  • Translate marketing strategies into compelling visual narratives and integrated campaign experiences.
  • Partner with writers, marketers, and subject matter experts to create engaging storytelling across brand, product, and demand generation initiatives.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and bring fresh perspectives that push the brand forward.
Drive Integrated Campaign Execution
  • Lead the visual development of multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, web, video, events, retail, email, collateral, and experiential (tradeshow) touchpoints.
  • Help refine design systems or carry existing systems forward that scale across audiences, channels, and regions while maintaining refreshed brand consistency.
  • Ensure every customer touchpoint contributes to a cohesive and differentiated brand experience.
  • Support product launches, promotions, dealer programs, loyalty initiatives, educational content, and brand-refresh efforts.
  • Establish visual direction with guidance from the Design Manager for campaigns, photoshoots, video productions, motion graphics, and digital ads, web pages and experiences.
  • Assist in the direction of internal and external creative resources to ensure work meets strategic and creative objectives.
  • Evaluate creative work through the lens of customer behavior, brand positioning, and performance goals.
  • Present concepts and creative rationale to stakeholders and leadership teams with confidence and clarity.
Champion Brand Excellence
  • Serve as a steward of the Pentair Pool brand while continuously evolving its visual expression alongside the Design Manager and Brand and Content Manager.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship across every deliverable. Be a champion for attention to detail and have the ability to export files across different media flawlessly and without direction.
  • Build and refine design systems, templates, creative frameworks, and best practices within Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and Canva.
  • Ensure consistency while enabling innovation.
Mentor and Inspire
  • Provide guidance and creative feedback to jr. designers, freelancers, agency partners, and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Help build a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and creative excellence.
  • Share knowledge, elevate team capabilities, and encourage innovative thinking.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an agency, in-house creative team, or brand marketing environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking, art direction, branding, digital marketing, and storytelling.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator
  • Advanced understanding and proficiency of Typography and typographic principles across different media and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of visual communication, typography, photography, brand, and digital design.
  • Experience developing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to articulate creative decisions and present work to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Advanced sAdvanced skill set in Figma; UX/UI is a plus.
  • Candidates MUST have an Online Portfolio to be considered.
