The Consumer Products Global Creative team is seeking a Designer to support the development of style guides, asset kits, character art packs, and creative assets across Netflix's global portfolio of franchises.
This role will work across a wide range of titles and audiences-preschool properties to globally recognized franchises including Stranger Things, Bridgerton, One Piece, KPOP Demon Hunters, and beyond. The ideal candidate is comfortable adapting their creative approach across genres and demographics while maintaining a high standard of craft, storytelling, and brand integrity.
We're looking for a highly skilled designer with exceptional design instincts, strong visual storytelling abilities, and a passion for character-driven brands. This person will be hands-on in the development of global creative tools and assets, partnering closely with the Global Creative team to help bring Netflix stories and characters to life for fans around the world. Illustration experience and familiarity working with character art are a plus, but not required.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces ambiguity, and approaches challenges with curiosity, ownership, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop global style guides, asset kits, and character art packs across Netflix franchises
  • Create original design assets, guide layouts, and visual systems that support style guides, asset packs, and character art stylizations
  • Design across a wide range of audiences and genres, adapting visual language, tone, and creative execution accordingly
  • Translate narrative, character, and world-building elements into compelling visual systems that support consumer products globally
  • Develop layouts, graphics, visual assets, and supporting creative materials across a variety of franchise creative programs
  • Integrate character art, typography, and graphic systems into cohesive design solutions
  • Partner with external agencies, illustrators, and vendors to develop and refine creative assets
  • Provide clear, actionable creative feedback to external partners to ensure quality and brand consistency
  • Balance long-lead foundational projects with fast-moving business priorities
  • Manage assigned projects from concept through final production while maintaining timelines and creative quality
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions that elevate the quality and effectiveness of the work
  • Support the organization, evolution, and maintenance of Netflix's global creative asset libraries and design resources

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design, brand design, licensing, consumer products creative, entertainment, or related fields
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong design craft with an exceptional understanding of composition, typography, color, and visual storytelling
  • Experience developing style guides, visual systems, and brand standards
  • Strong character art integration and visual storytelling skills
  • Understanding of color management, repro, and global production standards
  • Experience working within established brand systems and style guides
  • Ability to create design solutions that support storytelling, audience engagement, and brand objectives
  • Proven ability to deliver production-ready assets for global markets
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and asset management discipline
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate creative rationale
  • Consumer products experience preferred; experience supporting entertainment, licensing, or franchise brands is a plus
  • Illustration experience and familiarity working with character art are a plus

Additional Information
This role is based in Los Angeles and requires on-site work (Tuesday-Thursday) at the Netflix EPIC office in Hollywood. The team collaborates closely with partners in London and other global regions.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $147,000.00 - $242,000.00.
Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
