Job description

Job Description The ideal candidate will have web design services skills, to include familiarity with modern frameworks i.e. Angular, React, and Vue.js; must be proficient in writing and manipulating HTML-5, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with how to conceptualize, capture, and create intuitive interactive user interfaces that are understandable for all users. A successful candidate will possess excellent user interface design, UI/UX concepts, usability, and effective visual communication. They must be able to design a functional website or application to include writing and modifying code for loops, conditional statements, arrays, functions, objects, and strings and design elements viewable in real-time and offline. Must have a strong concept of database or SQL statements, and programming techniques, and demonstrate customer service excellence by clearly and concisely communicating work status, methods, instructions, problems, requirements, options, and concerns, with team members, managers and customers. Duties include: • Work closely with analysts to conceptualize Interactive products that clearly and efficiently communicate intelligence reporting. • Create wireframes, storyboards, and design mockups of UI layouts in preparation for customer consultations • Conceptualize, capture, and create intuitive interactive user interfaces that are understandable for all users • Work closely with other tradecraft specialties at NGA and across the IC as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Assist to establish best practices, standards, templates, and other style guides for all graphics produced In ATC and the Analysis Directorate. • Brief management, mission partners, and senior leaders on digital and web products created In ATC and related efforts. • Design a functional website or application depicting code and design elements viewable in real-time and offline. Required Education, Experience, & Skills • Skilled with User Interface (UI) design and User Experience (UX) design or research • The ability to visually depict complex data and reporting into creative design solutions that effectively communicate the customer's objectives and requirements. • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, knowledge of client-side scripting, JavaScript and the JavaScript framework, Angular and jQuery. • Ability to create original graphics (Icons, maps, Images, etc.) • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS. • Experience In Adobe CC with emphasis using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Dreamweaver Preferred • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator's plugin - "MaPublisher". - Three (3) years of relevant, demonstrated experience in working with UI/UX or Front-end development - excellent user interface design, strong concept of database or SQL statements - Ability to lead projects, excellent customer service and oral communication, quality assurance, visual communication techniques, and programming techniques - Experience in system applications, database designs, database programming, and networking skills - Knowledge and expertise in development of rich interactive multimedia products and electronic publishing tradecraft. - Ability to incorporate audio, video, graphics, and textual data to create highly advanced presentations. - Demonstrate skills using modern web development tools and libraries, such as Vue.js, Angular, React, Git, node.js, SQL, SASS, and jQuery
- Proficiency with a modern IDE such as VisualStudio Code. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred candidates will have: * At least three years of relevant graphic design experience along with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, Computer Graphics, or any Liberal Arts or technical degree where graphic arts or digital image processing is core to the degree. Alternatively, at least seven years of graphic design experience without the above-specified degree
* Advanced knowledge of design principles, web and multimedia technologies, and GEOINT principles

Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
