Visual Communications & Design Specialist

OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT currently has an opening for a Visual Communications & Design Specialist to work with our federal client.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Design user interfaces for Power Platform applications.
  • Create graphics for reports and briefings.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all deliverables.
  • Support communication management, knowledge management, and program reporting objectives.
  • Develop, review, and produce external-facing content such as press releases, brochures, web content, social media posts, and other materials for public distribution.
  • Coordinate all external-facing content with the Marketing Division and ensure adherence to branding, messaging, and approval protocols.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience. Master's degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience. Master's degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree. Relevant experience includes user interface (UI) design, content creation, and brand support. At least one (1) year of experience with the USCG, DHS, or DoD is preferred.
  • Certifications: Adobe Certified Professional (e.g., in Illustrator or Photoshop) certification required
  • Clearance Requirements: Must be able to undergo and successfully complete a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 qualifying Tier 2 background investigation for Common Access Card (CAC) issuance.
  • Location/on-site requirements: Primarily on-site in Washington, DC, with off-site remote work authorized on a situational, case-by-case basis.
