Work Schedule: Full-time or Part-time - Variable Shift based on 90% productivity

Pay Range: $40 - $50 / Hour depending on experience

JOB SUMMARY: The Speech Language Pathologist reports to the manager/director and performs speech language pathology services (both evaluation and treatment) as assigned by that manager/director.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plan, including short-term and long-term goals, consistent with physician orders and appropriate for the patientโ€™s overall medical condition.

  • Carry out patient care plans or portions thereof, determining appropriate progression of patients within the realm of the established care plan.

  • Perform tests and complex treatments individually or with assistance as needed.

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians and other members of the healthcare team relative to individual patient treatment programs and progress.

  • Document patient evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries for the patientโ€™s medical records in a timely manner as defined by the department policy manual.

  • Providing a full range of speech therapy modalities consistent with previous education, experience and clinical needs.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION/LICENSURE/EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current state licensure or in the process of licensure in this state

  • Current basic Life Support certification in accordance state regulations

  • Must be clinically driven, dependable, and self-motivated

  • Can adjust with changes in medical field with according to CDC guidelines.

  • Should have as a minimum, 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility, preferred

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and accept constructive criticism

  • Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

  • Must possess good judgement and can maintain highly confidential information.

  • Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements.
    Licensure: Colorado SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
