Join CentraCare's Nutrition Services team and play an important role in supporting the health and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff. As a Food Prep Associate, you will help prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience. This position works closely with chefs and kitchen staff to prepare menu items, maintain food safety standards, and support daily kitchen operations.

Schedule
  • Full Time | 72 Hours Every Two Weeks
  • Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
    • Typical shifts: 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and/or 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    • You must be available for either shift as they will blend on the schedule.
    • Every Other weekend
    • Rotating holidays

Pay & Benefits
  • Starting pay begins at $20.31 per hour and increases with experience
  • Full Pay range: $17.71 - $27.07 per hour
  • Earn extra for weekend and holiday shifts

What You'll Do
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and meal service.
  • Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and production standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and workspaces.
  • Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Support patient safety initiatives and Family Centered Care principles.
  • Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining kitchen supplies.
  • Perform other kitchen and nutrition services duties as assigned.

Our Nutrition Services team prepares, serves, and delivers delicious meals and snacks to patients, visitors, and staff throughout CentraCare. Team members work together to create a positive dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required upon hire.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • ServSafe Food Safety Certification within six months of hire.
  • One year of institutional, hospital, restaurant, or food service experience is preferred.
