As a Senior Reinsurance Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping global insurers optimize complex reinsurance operations, modernize business processes, and maximize the value of DXC's market-leading reinsurance solutions.

Position Summary

The Reinsurance Business Analyst serves as a trusted advisor to insurance and reinsurance clients, providing expertise in business process design, operational transformation, and technology enablement. This individual partners with business stakeholders, product specialists, and technical teams to analyze requirements, improve operational efficiency, and support the implementation and enhancement of reinsurance systems.

The ideal candidate combines deep reinsurance industry knowledge with strong business analysis and consulting skills and possesses hands-on experience with DXC SICS or comparable reinsurance administration platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for reinsurance operations, treaty administration, accounting, reporting, and business process optimization.

  • Analyze, document, and improve end-to-end reinsurance processes to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, data quality, and customer outcomes.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including reinsurance administrators, underwriters, actuaries, finance teams, and IT organizations, to gather and define business requirements.

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process models, and solution recommendations.

  • Partner with product, development, and implementation teams to ensure requirements are accurately designed, developed, tested, and deployed.

  • Support configuration, enhancement, implementation, and migration activities involving DXC SICS or equivalent reinsurance platforms.

  • Perform impact assessments, gap analyses, and solution evaluations for business and system changes.

  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and reporting analysis to ensure the integrity of reinsurance transactions and financial reporting.

  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test strategy development, test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and business sign-off.

  • Develop business process documentation, operating procedures, training materials, and implementation guides.

  • Deliver training, knowledge transfer sessions, and ongoing support to clients and internal teams.

  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market practices to recommend process and technology improvements.

  • Act as a trusted consultant to clients, providing guidance on best practices and operational transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • 10+ years of experience within the reinsurance industry, including operational, business analysis, consulting, or transformation-related roles.

  • Strong understanding of facultative and treaty reinsurance concepts, administration, accounting, reporting, and operational workflows.

  • Hands-on experience with reinsurance administration systems; DXC SICS experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Experience supporting software implementation, enhancement, migration, or transformation initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage executive and operational stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous consulting experience supporting insurance or reinsurance clients.

  • Experience with reinsurance accounting, financial reporting, and data reconciliation processes.

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting the insurance and reinsurance industry.

  • Experience working with global delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Professional designations such as ARe, CPCU, ARM, or equivalent insurance industry certifications.

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,400 - $156,800.
