Job description

Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: Columbia, SC

Position Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Pay Rate:

  • Local: $53–$58/hour

  • Traveler: $59.50–$61.50/hour

Shift & Schedule:

  • Night Shift

  • Monday–Thursday

  • 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM

  • 4 × 10-hour shifts

  • No Call

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a busy hospital imaging department. The selected candidate will perform MRI scans at the primary location while also operating the Siemens Virtual Cockpit to remotely support MRI scans at affiliated campuses. This position primarily focuses on pediatric imaging, including neonates, stroke, and trauma patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations for adult and pediatric patients.

  • Operate Siemens 1.5T and 3T MRI systems.

  • Utilize the Siemens Virtual Cockpit to remotely support MRI scans at affiliated campuses.

  • Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures.

  • Monitor patient safety and follow MRI safety protocols.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

  • Perform inpatient and outpatient MRI procedures while maintaining excellent imaging quality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience.

  • ARRT (Radiography) Certification required (ARMRIT will not be accepted).

  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment (1.5T & 3T).

  • Strong pediatric MRI experience required.

  • Experience with inpatient and outpatient MRI imaging.

  • Children's Hospital experience preferred.

  • Ability to operate Siemens Virtual Cockpit for remote scanning.

  • Hospital Imaging Department

  • Pediatric & Adult MRI

  • No Floating

  • No Call

  • Full-Time Contract Assignment
