(WLI) is an expanding, woman-owned small business based in Huntsville, Alabama, providing systems integration, aviation engineering, systems/software engineering, acquisition management, and cybersecurity expertise to the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Navy. Virtual Simulation Operators / Role Players provide operator inputs for Leaders and Soldiers during joint fires and target training exercises using simulation systems in support of the fire Center of Excellence (FCoE) at the Mission Simulation Center (MSC) in Fort Sill, OK. Operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Immersive CFFT III systems which includes four (4) Adaptive Full Spectrum Modules (AFSM), two (2) Close Air Support Modules (CASM) two (2) VBS3 classrooms, and (3) Tactical Operation Center (TOC) Modules. in alignment with the Field Artillery School's Programs of Instruction (POI) and their published training schedules. Operator tasks for the CFFT III and VBS3 systems include: setting up, running, and managing simulations to provide realistic military training in a controlled, virtual environment; supporting individual and collective training; conducting capability demonstrations; assisting with new software version testing; providing comprehensive training support to include hands-on and practical exercises such as field or virtual scenario-based training to mimic real-world conditions; Incorporating models and mission command systems into training; and perform scheduled maintenance on various systems and equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of seven years (7) military or simulation center experience in Fire Support operations and planning.
  • Minimum one year (1) experience supporting training exercise operating the CFFT III and one or more years operating/maintaining an Immersive CFFT III systems (AFSM, UTM, and CASM).
  • Minimum one year (1) experience developing and executing functional vignettes for and supporting training exercise and operating the VBS3.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency by performing the following basic tasks on a designated CFFT III/ VBS3 system in the MSC, to include:
    • Conduct start-up and Shut-down procedures on CFFT III
    • Install and assign SME as required.
    • Load applicable training scenario
    • Select applicable terrain database
    • Assign student Observation Post (OP)
    • Initialize CFFT III for stand alone
    • Set-up pilot view and give trigger control to the pilot or JTAC
    • Establish environmental conditions: weather, wind, visibility, cloud cover/ceiling height, visibility, and time of day or night
    • Process an Artillery Call-for-Fire
    • Process a Close Air Support mission
    • Process an Army Attack Aviation Mission
    • Conduct start-up and shut-down procedures for VBS3
    • Server / Host / Clients
    • Place clients in roles
    • Ensure network connectivity
