Position Title: Virtual Host

Reports To: Virtual Program Site Manager

Date of Job Description: May 2026

Position Type: Hourly, 8-20 hours/week, cycle dependent

Compensation: $21.50/hr

The Position

The Virtual Host supports the Reading Results virtual tutoring team by facilitating the web-based platform where tutoring takes place, greeting students and recording attendance.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Outcomes

The Virtual Host’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Opening the web-based video platform (Zoom) where tutoring is taking place
  • Creating breakout rooms
  • Greeting students as they enter the waiting room
  • Sending students into their Tutor’s breakout rooms
  • Recording attendance
  • Assist with troubleshooting for virtual programming (connection issues, camera/microphone issues etc.)

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and qualifications:
