Job description

Warehouse Associate

I-State Truck Center is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota location. This position plays a critical role in supporting our parts and service operations by ensuring inventory is received, organized, stocked, and delivered accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly. Experience in a warehouse, distribution center, parts department, or heavy-duty truck/equipment industry is helpful but not required.

Warehouse Associate Duties
  • Receive incoming parts shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Unload, inspect, label, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick and stage parts orders accurately for technicians, customers, and branch deliveries.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist with shipping outbound orders, including packaging and preparing freight.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided as needed).
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged products.
  • Assist with moving, organizing, and replenishing inventory throughout the warehouse.
  • Support the parts department in meeting customer and technician needs in a timely manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Warehouse Associate Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, distribution, or parts department experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy parts and materials throughout the day.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with heavy-duty truck, automotive, industrial, or equipment parts.
  • Prior forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory control systems.
  • Understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory best practices.
  • Experience working in a dealership, truck center, or industrial warehouse environment.
