Job description

Imagine going to work knowing that what you do each day positively influences the lives of people in your community. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We are looking for dedicated and friendly faces to create a welcoming environment for participants of all backgrounds and abilities.

We are looking for a Driver for our Mobile YMCA who will be responsible for transporting our Game Truck unit to events throughout Dallas/Fort Worth.

This person will conduct maintenance inspections and complete a maintenance checklist daily. Will test brakes in the parking lot before vehicle enters public roadways. Will visually monitor gauges while vehicle is operating. Will report any problem with vehicle to supervisor. Will comply with YMCA Vehicle Safety Rules at all times and follows YMCA policies and procedures. Will adhere to route schedule as planned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Position requires learning and driving a truck with a 28 foot trailer
  • Video game knowledge and experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of best practices of towing and driving
  • Must have a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
  • Provide positive experiences during esports and gaming events
  • Experience working with kids
  • Adaptable to changing situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Professional customer service and communication skills
  • Bilingual helpful, but not required
