In this full-time role, you will provide essential psychosocial support to students facing a variety of emotional, social, and academic challenges. Work EnvironmentThis position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing you to efficiently connect with students and families at their convenience. You'll work closely with a supportive team of rehabilitation professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, in a collaborative environment geared towards delivering goal-oriented care. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments through interviews and observations, analyzing how emotional, social, and environmental factors affect students' educational journeys.
- Provide individualized counseling services to students, assisting them with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment concerns.
- Collaborate with the school staff and rehabilitation team to create tailored treatment plans that address the unique psychosocial needs of each student.
- Facilitate referrals to community resources, including support groups, tutoring services, and vocational rehabilitation programs to enrich students' experiences and outcomes.
- Engage and educate families about available resources and support systems to foster a community of understanding and assistance.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions back to home or other appropriate settings, encompassing follow-up care as required.
Your work will primarily focus on elementary to high school students facing a variety of mental health challenges, including emotional and behavioral disorders, family issues, and the effects of trauma. Our patient population is diverse, reflecting the varied backgrounds of the Gresham community, which allows for a rich and rewarding professional experience. In many cases, you will play a vital role in fostering emotional resilience, academic success, and positive social interactions.
Qualifications- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Demonstrated understanding of various counseling techniques and therapeutic interventions tailored to school settings.
- Previous experience working in school-based, rehabilitation, or healthcare environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of special education services and mental health resources available in educational settings.
