Job description

Salary: $45-55 per hour

Job Title: Multilingual License-EligibleTherapist K-12 School-Based Telehealth Program
Employment Type: W-2 Part-Time
Location: Remote (U.S.)

Scheduling & Availability (ET): Shifts are scheduled within 7:00 AM8:00 PM, 7 days/week. You will not work all hoursyour weekly schedule will be built within this window based on client needs and your availability, with most sessions typically after school.

  • School year: must be able to accommodate sessions in 7:009:30 AM and 4:008:00 PM windows
  • Summer: sessions may be scheduled 7:00 AM7:00 PM (flexible)
  • Clinicians: weekly Thursday team meeting 9:00 AM or 12:00 PM (based on your availability) + Week 1 onboarding at 9:00 AM
  • Occasional holidays as needed
  • Clinicians are required to maintain a minimum of 15 client hours per week

Compensation:

  • $45$55/hr for scheduled client sessions (rate based on experience/credentials)
  • $25/hr for training and administrative (non-clinical) time

Position Overview:

Virtual Peace of Mind is actively seeking Multilingual
License-EligibleTherapists to deliver short-term, school-based teletherapy to K12 students across Virginia. Under a VDOE-endorsed initiative, this role is critical to ensuring that linguistically diverse students have equitable access to culturally and language-appropriate mental health careregardless of insurance, immigration status, or fluency in English.


This is an excellent opportunity for bilingual or multilingual clinicians who are passionate about youth mental health, comfortable providing care via secure virtual platforms, and committed to reducing barriers for English learners and immigrant communities in Virginias public schools. Clinical supervision is available for residents.


Key Responsibilities:

Direct Client Care

  • Provide individual teletherapy sessions in students preferred language when possible (Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, French, etc.)
  • Use culturally responsive, short-term interventions to support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or academic-related stress
  • Address issues such as trauma, anxiety, adjustment, grief, bullying, identity, or family challenges
  • Ensure language equity in service delivery by using interpreters or translated materials when direct language matching is unavailable

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrators to support students with limited English proficiency
  • Participate in multilingual family outreach, offering psychoeducation and support in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Attend team meetings and consultations to ensure holistic care for linguistically diverse students
  • Communicate clearly with staff, families, and students using tools and strategies appropriate for multilingual engagement

Documentation & Compliance

  • Document all services in the EHR system, ensuring clarity for both English- and non-English-speaking caregivers and partners
  • Maintain timely, FERPA- and HIPAA-compliant notes, treatment plans, and discharge reports
  • Ensure services meet ethical and licensure board standards, including those related to language access and informed consent


Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Licensure

  • License-eligible in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent
  • Residents must be approved for supervision toward licensure
  • Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, French, Mandarin, or other in-demand languages strongly preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year providing clinical support to children and adolescents, preferably in school or telehealth settings
  • Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or English learner populations is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally grounded practices

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to deliver therapeutic services in both English and at least one additional language
  • Skilled in using interpreters, translated tools, and inclusive communication strategies
  • Strong documentation and remote work proficiency
  • Deep cultural sensitivity, humility, and commitment to equity in care access


Professional Communication & Attendance (Essential Function)

Reliable communication and attendance are essential job responsibilities. Team members must:

  • Attend required onboarding, internal meetings, supervision sessions, and trainings (as applicable)
  • Notify the team as soon as possible regarding delays, absences, or scheduling conflicts
  • Maintain timely, professional communication during scheduled work hours
  • Uphold remote-work standards, including a private workspace and reliable internet connection


Remote Work Requirements

To support client confidentiality and team effectiveness, this role requires:

  • A private, quiet workspace suitable for professional work
  • Reliable high-speed internet and ability to use required systems/tools
  • Comfort working independently while staying connected through remote collaboration


Tools & Systems

This role uses the following tools as part of day-to-day work:

  • BambooHR (HRIS + onboarding)
  • EnGuard (secure email)
  • ClickUp (project + task management)
  • SimplePractice (EHR/telehealth + documentation, as applicable)


Compensation

  • $45$55/hr for scheduled client sessions (rate based on experience/credentials)
