Job description

Embrace the opportunity to make a lasting impact as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist supporting life skills programming across multiple school sites in the Eugene, OR area. This full-time, school year assignment (August 31, 2026 - June 17, 2027) involves working with a case load of approximately 33 students, focusing on a diverse population with special needs. Split your week between two welcoming campuses: Westmoreland, which focuses on students with significant support needs, and Lane Schools, which emphasizes socialization and behavioral support.
Your expertise in feeding and swallowing (safe eating), as well as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), will be highly valued as you help empower students to reach their communicative potential. While much of your work will be independent, you'll enjoy robust support from a dedicated SLP team and in-person assistance from special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff, plus monthly team meetings and virtual resources.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP license in Oregon (or eligibility)
  • CCC-SLP or strong CFY candidates welcome
  • Prior experience in schools preferred
  • Skills in feeding/swallowing and AAC required
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students with varying support needs
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to students in life skills programs
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide intervention in feeding, swallowing, and AAC as necessary
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and the broader SLP team
