Senior ServiceNow Developer (Senior Software Developer)

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

$112,185.00 - $179,496.00

What You'll Be Doing
  • Independently design, develop, and enhance moderately to complex ServiceNow applications based on detailed functional and technical specifications. Perform coding, testing, debugging, documentation, maintenance, and ongoing support activities across the application lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and resolve application and system issues using established SchoolsFirst FCU and credit union development standards, with minimal supervision.
  • Build new ServiceNow application components to meet user and business requirements, leveraging platform capabilities and best practices.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications using tables, profiles, and vendorsupplied tools to implement approved enhancements and changes.
  • Adhere to general and credit union specific coding standards, SDLC practices, and SchoolsFirst FCU's Agile methodology.
  • Create and maintain clear technical and functional documentation for new solutions and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Test and debug new and existing application software, including solutions developed by other team members, to ensure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, performance, and completeness.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn, adapt, and become proficient in new technologies, tools, and development standards. Stay current on emerging technologies and ServiceNow platform advancements through research, training, and collaboration with peers and industry professionals.
  • Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and maintenance as required to ensure platform stability and reliability.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field or equivalent years of experience required
    • 5-7 years progressive experience in a software related field required
    • 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience required
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) required.
    • ServiceNow implementation experience preferred.
    • Strong, demonstrable experience with one or more ServiceNow modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Financial Services Operations (FSO), or Service Portal / Employee Center.
    • Advanced JavaScript development skills using Glide APIs.
    • Experience building and customizing Service Portal widgets using AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.
    • Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF).
    • Experience with Now Assist / Generative AI features, Virtual Agent, or AIdriven workflows preferred.
      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      • Working knowledge of ITIL fundamentals and service management concepts.
      • Understanding of CMDB fundamentals, including configuration items, relationships, and data quality principles.
      • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
      • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile team environment.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical solutions clearly.
