Job description

A contract opportunity is available for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services at an elementary school in the Montgomery, TX area for the upcoming academic year. This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact by supporting a diverse caseload of students through therapy, evaluations, and participation in ARD meetings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active SLPA license for Texas
  • Experience working in school or healthcare settings with students as an SLPA is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with ARD meetings and educational evaluations preferred
  • Ability to function independently and collaboratively with supervising SLPs and educational staff
  • Must be available for on-site work; virtual/remote work is not permitted

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students under SLP supervision
  • Assist with evaluations, progress monitoring, and report preparation
  • Document therapy services and maintain accurate student records in compliance with district and licensure requirements
  • Support ARD/IEP processes by attending meetings as needed and communicating student progress
  • Work effectively within a caseload of approximately 60-80 students across a single elementary campus
