Speech-Language Pathologist

Wage Range: $44.13 - $70.61 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist in our ARU, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and quality of life. You'll work with individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and more—ages 13 and up. Primary Duties:

  1. Provide skilled evaluation and treatment in swallowing, communication, voice, and cognition
  2. Deliver individualized, age-appropriate assessments and interventions
  3. Develop collaborative treatment plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  4. Document evaluations, interventions, and progress with accuracy and timeliness
  5. Communicate effectively with physicians, care teams, referral sources, and coordinating facilities
  6. Contribute to program development, procedures, and clinical protocols
  7. Support a culture of compassion, safety, and excellence

License, Certification, Education or Experience: REQUIRED for the position:

  • Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Washington State SLP License (or eligibility)
  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies
  • BLS certification by date of hire
  • Commitment to serving diverse patient populations from young adult to geriatric
