Job description

Signature Federal Systems is looking for cryptocurrency experts with experience in either banking/financial investigation and/or relevant education in information systems or computer science, finance, or FINTECH. The ideal candidates will be tech-savvy analysts with data processing skills who want to grow and develop by initiating analysis on unique data sets. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to support the national security mission of the United States in the field of data analytics and financial exploitation. The preferred candidate will have a keen understanding of virtual currencies, cryptocurrency exchanges, digital assets, and/or payment service providers. The position will leverage the candidate’s digital savvy and capacity for deep research and creativity to spot non-obvious targets and intelligence within a fluid and rapidly evolving market segment by applying data analytical tradecraft. There are 2 types of people we will consider for this role.
• Candidates with strong technical skills familiar with Python and other scripting languages and have the ability to search files and folders with regex, scripts and pattern matching.
OR
• Candidates with financial investigations backgrounds will ideally have forensic accounting knowledge or experience, understand money laundering and sanctions evasion techniques and understand know-your-customer (KYC) information, customer onboarding and identify verification methods. Knowledge of anti-money laundering guidelines such as FATF and/or jurisdiction-specific guidelines. • Responsibilities:

  • Experience tracing cryptocurrency transactions, including asset flow, IP addresses and wallet software.
