We're looking for a skilled System Administrator to join our team and help maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize a wide variety of IT systems. We are seeking an accomplished Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator - with good Linux knowledge to lead and support complex enterprise IT environments, with a focus on high-assurance systems. This senior-level position involves architecture support, advanced troubleshooting, security compliance, and operational oversight across a range of IT platforms including UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience, deep system knowledge, and leadership in IT service and security management. Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include: * Apply working knowledge of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, including GPU and memory scaling * Oversee and support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems
* Manage the operation and configuration of server, storage, and network systems, including mobile device environments * Deliver Tier 1 through Tier 3 support, including advanced issue escalation and root cause analysis * Provide detailed technical feedback and reporting to agency leadership and internal customers * Lead system account management, ensuring full compliance with ICAM policies * Implement and document security patches (IAVA) and maintain system-of-record accuracy * Conduct in-depth analysis for system capacity planning and performance optimization * Configure and manage UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems; apply enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency * Work with ISSOs and ISOs on change and configuration management processes * Track and report progress of POA&M milestones, supporting accreditation and security authorization activities * Troubleshoot complex integration issues involving server hardware, mission applications, and middleware * Design and support mission architectures and associated hardware platforms * Understand and address dependencies within Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments If assigned to Directory Services TTOs, administer and support: Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Identity Management, Active Roles Server, Privileged Access Management (PAM), SCCM, and MS Exchange The Desktop Application Services Section consists of three Teams (Specialized Desktop Solutions, Specialized VDI Solutions and TTC. Support includes ENABLINGSTORM (eSTORM) is a high-powered virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with GPU integration; VIEWMAGIC (TTC) is an environment that provides a cross-domain solution reducing the number of physical clients and provides resources on a centralized desktop (TS & S); Assistive Technology, providing reasonable accommodation requests involving Assistive Technology and specialized equipment. Functions within the organization will include Citrix, Centrify, Windows and Linux OS adoption and delivery, application software packaging and updates, hardware testing and baseline approvals Qualifications Required * TS/Sc with Poly. NO WAIVER Education * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (4 years of additional experience may substitute) * 20+ years of experience as a System Administrator on programs of similar scope and complexity
* 8+ years of experience with IT Service Management (ITSM)
* DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent)
* Computing Environment (CE) Certification (Microsoft OS, CentOS, or Red Hat OS)
