They assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders such as articulation, language, fluency, and voice issues in a virtual educational setting. By using video conferencing and digital resources, they collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students’ communication needs and help them succeed academically. This remote approach allows for flexible scheduling and access to services regardless of a student's location.

SLPs often participate in virtual meetings with educators to discuss students’ needs, adapt lesson plans, and integrate speech and language goals into the classroom. Regular communication with parents, through emails or video conferences, helps to update them on progress, provide strategies for at-home practice, and address concerns. This team-oriented approach ensures that interventions are consistent and tailored to each student's learning environment, even in a remote setting.
