Job description

Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting students' communication needs across grade levels. This contract position invites experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP, CCC-SLP, School SLP) to provide services in a collaborative school environment. Opportunities are available for both in-person and virtual roles, with assignments spanning from August 18 to June 7.

You’ll primarily serve a 5th–8th grade building with a caseload of 35, plus several private schools serving Preschool through 8th grade. Caseloads average 65–70 for in-person and 40–45 for virtual assignments. While the use of AAC devices is limited across these sites, your expertise in speech and language will play a crucial role in student development. Bilingual skills are welcomed and open doors for potential adjustments to caseloads.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC strongly preferred)
  • Prior experience in school-based settings
  • Comfort working with caseloads across a range of ages (Preschool–8th grade)
  • Familiarity with educational documentation and effective IEP participation
  • SLPA applicants will be considered for on-site work only
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and deliver therapy services in compliance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
  • Implement evidence-based speech/language interventions
  • Participate in student staffing and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Foster an engaging, supportive therapeutic environment

This role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with the flexibility to match your preferred assignment style—virtual or in-person. You’ll play a key role in transforming students’ educational experiences while honing your professional expertise.

Ready to take your skills to an impactful educational setting? Submit your application today and help shape communication success stories in schools!
