Outpatient Neurology- HCC at Newark is located at 200 Hygeia Drive in Newark, Delaware. At ChristianaCare's outpatient neurology practice, our neurologists partner closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans that support living well with neurological conditions. Our team is trained to help patients effectively manage current symptoms, recognize and address new concerns, and receive the appropriate treatment at every stage of their care. Through ongoing monitoring and a compassionate, collaborative approach, we are committed to helping each patient achieve the best quality of life possible.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

Work Schedule:

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
Position Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
