• Conduct virtual counseling sessions that cater to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing evidence-based methodologies.

• Offer consistent support and constructive feedback to encourage clients in overcoming emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.

The Santa Monica Behavioral Health Center caters to a wide array of clients facing diverse mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other psychological concerns. Your role as an LPC will be to facilitate meaningful conversations that encourage healing and growth within a supportive environment, adapting your techniques to best suit the needs of each individual.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid state license to practice as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing counseling services in a mental health environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, characterized by active listening, empathy, and the ability to build strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities that contribute to successful patient outcomes.
• Adherence to ethical guidelines and a strong commitment to professional standards of practice.

• Experience in telehealth counseling or virtual therapy settings, utilizing digital platforms for client engagement.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
• Background working with diverse populations and addressing culturally relevant mental health issues.
