Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

🌙Monitor Tech - Night Shift

Location:Mercy Hospital St. Louis

Schedule:6:30 PM - 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Rotating Weekends & Holidays

Training:Day shift training for the first 6-8 weeks

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and alert clinical staff to changes

  • Review patient data to identify patterns and variances

  • Work closely with nurses and care teams to ensure patient safety

  • Be a calm, focused presence during overnight hours

What You'll Need:

  • Education:High school diploma or GED

  • Training:Completion of a monitor tech courseorpassing score (85%) on our competency exam

  • Certification:CRAT certification within 1 year of hire

  • Skills:Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and quick decision-making under pressure

  • Experience:Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required-we'll train you!
