Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Pulmonary unit position on nights, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.

Details
  • Work in a 36-bed Pulmonary telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Care for patients with a wide range of respiratory disorders and lung diseases or injuries
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the system
  • Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Meditech EMR used
Requirements
  • Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Associate degree in nursing required
  • 2 years of RN experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license will be considered
  • 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or Pulmonary specialty required
  • NURSYS license verification required
  • No prior license violations, past or current, permitted
