• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate mental health treatment plans both within and outside the facility.
• Provide mental health training and educational resources to medical, psychiatric, and security staff members, enhancing their understanding and management of mental health crises.
• Intervene and manage mental health emergencies effectively, utilizing crisis intervention techniques to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
• Take part in commitment hearings as required, advocating for clients' needs and ensuring proper legal and ethical considerations are met.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic goals specifically tailored to individual clients, focusing on their unique experiences and needs.
• Document all client interactions meticulously to maintain a high standard of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of medical records, employing best practices to protect client information at all times.
• Verify past mental health histories of clients, and assess the use of psychotropic medications to make informed treatment decisions.
• Prepare regular reports and evaluations based on clinical observations, contributing to our continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Coordinate with nursing and mental health personnel for post-release referrals, aiding successful transitions for clients re-entering their communities.

Your primary focus will be on a diverse array of clients, including individuals facing complex issues such as substance misuse, trauma, and family dynamics. Our facility serves patients from various backgrounds, making cultural competence a critical aspect of your work. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Colorado is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience is essential, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in clinical settings.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly valued and preferred.
• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling is a plus, given the nature of our service delivery.

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering $70,000 to $100,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses.
